The December issue of SELF magazine will feature a four-page, in-depth article on marrow and cord blood donation. Reporter Sabrina Erderly broadened the focus of a story she was writing about a donor and recipient to include information about cord blood donation. Until she received a cord blood media kit from the NMDP, she was unaware that cord blood could be a source for patients who need transplants. Katie Quinn, a DKMS-Americas donor, donated to leukemia patient Anna Robinson two years ago.
